CMS (Medicare) Recommendations for PAP Supply Replacement

CPAP/BIPAP Resupply Schedule

  

Thank you for choosing Cascade Sleep Supply, LLC to be your provider. We want you to receive the full therapeutic benefit of your treatment, and we will work with you to provide comfortable therapy.

For your CPAP/BiPAP to perform optimally and your mask to remain soft and comfortable, it is important to replace some of the components at regular intervals. For your convenience, components can be sent directly to your home or picked up at our office. Cascade Sleep Spply, LLC. follows Medicare's replacement schedule guidelines.  


The Medicare replacement schedule is provided below:

   

  • Mask Frame/Interface                         One every three months 
  • Headgear                                                     One every six months
  • Chinstrap                                                    One every six months
  • Full Face Mask Cushion                      One every month
  • Nasal Pillows                                              Two every month
  • Nasal Cushion                                           Two every month
  • PAP Tubing/Heated Tubing             One every three months
  • Disposable Filters                                    Two every month                 
  • Reusable Filter                                          One every six months
  • Humidifier Chamber                             One every six months
  • CPAP/BIPAP Machine                         Every  5 years
  • Heated Humidifier                                   Every  5 years

MEDICAL DEVICE RECALL NOTIFICATION

 Philips Respironics announced a Voluntary Medical Device Recall Notification for Continuous and Non-Continuous Ventilators (certain CPAP, Bilevel PAPand Ventilator Devices) due to  issues related to the polyester-based polyurethane (PE-PUR) sound abatement foam used in these devices.   For information on the Recall Notice, a complete list of impacted products, and potential health risks, visit philips.com/src-update.


Philips Respironics encourages patients and caregivers to look up their device using the serial number and begin the claim process if affected.
